Both the chocolate and key lime dessert mixes are awesome! I made them with cream the first time, but used canned coconut milk the second time and they turned out great. Dixie isn't kidding about the 'Easy' part either... these desserts literally only take minutes to prepare. You need to plan ahead a little bit, though, because they need to 'set' in the fridge for a while.

Holy cow! This is so delicious you can easily fool anyone into thinking this is the real deal and not a low carb treat. Great lime flavor. So easy to make. Top with homemade whipped cream (sweetened with stevia and vanilla), a little lime zest and you've made a dessert fit for company!

This mix is super easy to put together. I used cream cheese instead of cream because that is what I had on hand. I also put it into 9 ramekins (pkg has 9 servings) instead of a pie plate so I wouldn't overeat. The crumbs were a bit gritty but had a good flavor. I thought the creamed part was a bit flat so I added the juice of a lemon. It helped a lot. It is not overly sweet, seemed right to me. I have no idea if it would stick together well enough for a pie but it put the ramekins I can no longer use for creme brulee (sigh) to good use. And the lemon and cream cheese does add a carb or two per serving. I will get it again and get a lime to juice next time and I plan to try the chocolate too.

I made the key lime dessert for my husband who has been lo carb for about a month and is starting to go a bit crazy. Make no mistake, this will not taste like the sugared version. But for a lo carb dessert, we both thought it was pretty good. The crust is mostly ground nuts, which was a great substitute in our opinion. There is a nice lime flavor and the texture is what you'd expect, so I felt no need to make substitutions or additions to the recipe in any way. It did seem a bit thin when made in a 9" square pan, and next time I will try a pie pan. I served it with lo carb whipped cream on top and it was a nice compliment to the tart lime. There is a slight artificial sweetener flavor, but everything is relative, and this product will help keep us on the lo carb track.
