This is an unbelievable power/energy source! I had read about the powers of chia and decided to give it a go - and now it's an absolute staple in my dry goods cabinet. I just mix 1 Tbsp with cold water and squeeze fresh lemon or lime juice into it, shake it up, and use it to power through workouts and long drives (replaced the Diet Coke!). It also makes you feel full, so I drink it before I go to a party where there might be tempting foods....And it's higher in Omega 3's than most food sources! Try it!
This brand is very good quality. In general, chia seeds are very powerful and nutritious. I use about 2tb a day. I put 1tsp in my oats and it bulks it up since chia holds on to a a lot of water. I put 1/2tb in my shakes, I even add it to baked goods. It's really an easy to get in more fiber and omegas. I love this stuff.
I put this in my vitamin drink in the morning, let it sit for a few minutes, and then drink it down. I can't tell it's in the drink because I also add kefir to the water, so it's a fairly thick shake. I know it's very nutritious. I'm wondering if it could be added to pudding, after soaking, and be a tapioca pudding substitute--something I plan to try.
I've been using this for a couple of years now. I love this stuff.. I put it in my morning smoothies and also like it on my homemade yogurt. I take a spoon full of it, put it in a little glass dish and microwave it for 30 seconds or so.. It'll brown a bit of the coconut, so when I stir it in my yogurt, it taste's like toasted coconut mixed it.. It's delicious! It's the same as Coconut Butter, which I've also tried, but is priced much better.. Full of healthy goodness.
from Heaven! I love this product, it's currently my favorite Low Carb food. Here in Texas, this product stays loose and easy to stir when stored in the pantry.
When I first opened it, I almost scooped out the cream on top, then I realized it had a hard layer underneath the .5 inch cream layer. I popped into the microwave for about five seconds, stirred, microwave another 5 seconds and was able to stir it to a well incorporated state. It has remained this way for the last week.
The flavor is somewhat like peanut butter. I mostly eat it straight out of the jar to increase my calorie intake. Sometimes, I spread it on my chocolate coconut bars for a similar 'chocolate peanut butter' flavor. Yum!
This product is not exactly like coconut oil, but I do plan to sub it for coconut oil in some of my recipes. It definitely has a more substantial mouth feel with just a hint of sweetness.
I enjoy the taste, and yes, I occasionally eat it from the jar. I've used it for Indonesian-like sauces - it thickens up quickly - water needs to be added. So far, it's worked for cookies, "don't cook" fudge, and biscuits/scones.
I love coconut manna. I use it to make chocolate, using this instead of cocoa butter and it comes out great. I also eat it straight out of the jar. It has a nice coconutty flavor and is very low in carbs. It's really good for you too.
I love the flavor and texture of this stuff.. It does need to be melted and I don't really recommend mixing it in shakes since it will harden once it cools down. But once melted it is spreadable, and tastes really good to just spoon out of the jar. I will order more simply because its ingredients are great, and it tastes amazing.

Wonderful product for light pan frying and cooking. I also use it mixed with unscented moisturizing lotion and aloe vera on my skin and hair. Unlike seed oils (safflower, sunflower, etc.) this oil does not become rancid or get "sticky" after sitting unrefigerated, even for several months. Evidence shows that coconut oil stimulates thyroid function and has wonderful antimicrobial/antiviral properties. The antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties of the medium chain fatty acids found in coconut oil have been known to scientists since the 1960s. This is a quality product sold at a very reasonable price.
My body loves cocout oil! It is so good for the thyroid too. I use coconut oil for my skin after a bath or shower and it keeps my skin baby soft. I put it in my children's hair for an oil treatment. For cooking, it is safe for medium and high temperature sauteeing and it tastes great on vegetables, breads, etc. It will be liquid at room temperature or hard when chilled. I use it regularly as intimate oil and rubs. I have also mixed it with acidophilus powder and formed a pinky-finger sized bullet...put it in the freezer on wax paper for a couple minutes and then inserted as a vaginal suppository that works perfectly at keeping females healthy or killing yeast infections...and with no harsh chemicals!
I have been using this for 3 months now and have experienced weight loss, clearer skin, and heightened energy among other great changes. I would recommend this as a food, cooking oil, and in replacement of skin care products.
This product is great! People recommend it for weight loss and beautiful skin. I haven't noticed any weight loss yet but it does suppress my appetite. It is recommended people consume 3-4 Tablespoons daily for optimum results. Also, great price for the product.

I love the taste of Nutiva coconut oil in my coffee. I didn't think I would like it but it makes your coffee like a desert if you put sweetener in it. It keeps you feeling full and sometimes I'm not hungry for anything until lunch. I also use it in stir fry recipes.

Someone recently argued with me that flax has a better nutritional profile, but I despise flax meal; I have been replacing it with hemp in my baking (except in recipes calling for 100% flax meal, in which case I use about 50% hemp, 25% flax, and 25% almond meal, because 100% hemp has a strange texture to me). It will turn your baked goods green, but don't be scared; that just means you are getting some chlorophyll!
I don't use it so much for protein shakes because I prefer whey shakes; but if you are vegan or gluten-free, and you can mix it with some fruit or sweetener, this is a great substitute. Before I went low-carb, I used to mix my hemp into OJ with a couple tablespoons of nutritional yeast; it would keep me very full & energized for hours!
I have also used this hemp powder to make hot cereal; mixed with almond and/or peanut flour, it's very rich & delicious.
I am on a very low carb diet and I love the Nutiva hemp protein + fiber powder. I haven't drank it yet as I put it in the low carb Sensato Cereal to make it even higher in protein and fiber!! Nutiva's Hemp Protein Powder is a super food! This is an incredible source of fiber, protein, magnesium and zinc. It is formulated to be mixed into a smoothie, but I use it in my hot flax seed meal cereal and it blends in wonderfully while providing a phenomenal nutritional punch.
