I have tried almost all of these sweetners and have found that this one is a perfect replacement for sugar in cold drinks. No aftertaste at all. Dip your finger in it for a quick taste and no difference to sugar, yes, really. BUT, and I am sorry to say, but when you use it with heat, there is a slight bitterness, SO, I did some experimenting and found that if you use equal amounts of Erythritol and a packet of NuStevia, the Erythritol cuts the bitter completely. Best coffee ever! Just like the real thing. I am just now ordering the "Steviva" product which is Stevia already blended with Erythritol, to see if I get the same results already mixed which would kill two birds with one stone so to speak. We shall see. I have used the same mixture to make the best 4 balls equals 3 carbs chocolate/peanut butter balls EVER!! So, so far the combo is great.
I switched from the "pink packet" sweetener to Nu-Stevia in one day after doing a lot of internet research. I am able to use one packet of Nu-Stevia in my coffee, which I like very sweet, instead of two packets of the pink stuff and only 1/2 packet is needed on cereal. I find Nu-Stevia to be very sweet with no bitter aftertaste. Three packets will sweeten a big bowl of fresh-cut strawberries and I like the taste much better than Splenda. No more sugar cravings, which I understand are often side effects of artificial sweeteners. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to kick the artificial sweetener habit for a natural, plant-based sweetener.
