I use it after my workout, and keeps my energy up for hours. I never feel weighted down or bloated after drinking a serving. The only drawback is that it doesn't mix very well, even in a blender, there are still clumps, unless you blend it for a long time. Other than that, this is one of the better weight gain formulas.
